After Amnesia: The Dark Descent, anything that remotely smells of horror has me terrified to no end. I remember seeing the press release for Frictional Games' award-winning title a long time ago and thinking that there was no way an indie title could be that bad. Months down the road, TK-Nation still hasn't finished with the game. We had four reviewers working on it, honest. Unfortunately, one after another, each valiant writer cracked and fled into the dark of night.

Well, either way, today we have something that falls firmly under the 'indie horror' category as well. Developed by Daniel-D. Guertin, the French-Canadian game designer famous for titles like Aquaria, Black Sigil and even ports of old classics, Rebirth is apparently an atmospheric, poem-like game. With graphics reminiscent of H.R Giger, Rebirth is a fairly peculiar-looking affair. There are faceless people strapped to a conveyor belt being fed to a huge, toothy maw. There are grasping hands, a ball of blue light that I assume is the protoganist and the potential to make my nightmares a little bleaker for the next few days.
